Question Opening an Internet Gaming Cafe! CyberSquad Gaming is underway!

Hey guys!

EDIT: Our company name is CyberSquad Gaming. Our website (now operational) is http://www.cybersquadgaming.com

My friends and I always wanted to open up a Internet Gaming Cafe, where people can come and play console and/or pc games. We will be located on Long Island in NY. We will also hold bi-weekly tournaments, with cash prizes, gift cards, and free time at the cafe. Some food and drink will be served.

We would like to start off with 4 TVs (42") with Xbox360, PS3 and Wii. We may only buy three of each though, it is still up in the air.

Computer wise we are looking to get 20 gaming rigs, best bang-for-your-buck as possible (AMD)

We have a website under construction, I will post the link here when the website is fully operational. We also have a name, but I am not at liberty to discuss what your name is yet.

The location we have picked out is not set in stone yet, but I have attached a not-drawn-to-scale digram of what the place would look like.

Im looking for general feedback on my idea, things you would change, your personal opinion, and would you visit a internet gaming cafe to play an assorsment of games, hang out and participate in tournaments (poll question)

EDIT1: There is no TV in the bathroom, I made a "typo"
EDIT2: The store that we are curently looking at (And the one in the digram) is directly across the street from a mall, as well as being on a major road, so we are hoping the two drive alot of traffic.
EDIT3: Name and website established! Wahoo!

(if I lived in New York)

I'd probably go for TF2 tournaments or L4D pick up matches there.

I really wish I had a group of LAN friends where I live.

You'll have a tough time turning a profit.

Advertise your website, see about giving away stupid-cheap stuff like pens are layards with your logo on, etc.

Sell food and drinks, you can make more money there than on game time.

For rigs a simple AMD dual core, 8800GT or similar and 22" monitor should hold you off for at least two years. Steam has a special program for LAN cafes that you should check out.

These threads come up like every month, and normally the OPs all realize that they won't be able to make any money.

Yes, I did see a few in the intel section, however I noticed that they were going much larger (40+ PCs) and it was sometime back. I hope that we will be able to draw in a large crowd from being directly across the street from a mall, as well as being on a major road.
