Default My first build is nearing completion (pictures added)

So I received all of my componants on Tuesday and after an hour Tuesday night and 2 hours last night I hit the power button.

It powered up, all the fans were spinning, and seems like all is good. I was amazed how quiet it was compared to my old PC! Everything at this point has been flawless (with the exception of my cable management, but since I don't have a window I don't find it to be an issue). I had no idea how much time it would take to assemble but I thought it would take longer than this, so I'm pretty happy. There was a little extra time spent since I had to remove the DVD rom and multi-card reader from my old pc so I could install them in the new one. Unfortunately my DVD is IDE so I have a fat ribbon cable in there, sometime in the near future I'll replace that though. I just didn't have the extra $30 to spend since this is a budget build.

After I powered it up, I went in the BIOS but didn't do anything since I had to get to bed.

I guess I have a question. Do I need to update the BIOS before I do anything at this point? Anything special I need to know?

You have an AM3 board so it should already be able to detect the processor properly, so there is no real reason to flash the bios.

If you are comfortable with flashing using a USB drive, it never hurts to upgrade to the newest bios And never ever flash from within Windows.

Update the bios, it fixes any bugs that may be present

I guess I don't get what you're saying since I'm not using a stock cooler. Cooler Master Hyper 212+

Nice case I love the look of the Antec 300, but you need some better cable management :P
