Default AMD System

Hey, well since i sold my old desktop i want to make a new one of my own. Will be using it for gaming, photoshop and a bit of video editing. I prefer a 4870 or 4890 or any 5000 series as a graphic card.

Budget is around $700-$800
Dont need a monitor, etc..
It would be nice if you can add a case too. If not its fine caseless.

Thanks for the help!

This is a build that I've been eyeballing for myself lately... You'd have to pick your own case though, if you wanted a new case.

ASUS Crosshair III Mobo -- $199.99
AMD Phenom II 955 BE CPU -- $189.00
OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) RAM -- $100.99
ASUS 4870 Dark Knight 1GB GPU -- $139.99 (after $20 MIR)
Antec EarthWatts 750W PSU -- $94.99

Total, after Rebate: $724.96

Again though, this is just my personal style, but it illustrates you can get a good build for your price range. Change the RAM, or the Motherboard, or if you don't need an upgraded PSU, pick a different GPU... and well, you can save yourself a few more bucks here and there.

(It bears mentioning though, this thread probably shouldn't be under "Build Logs"... But Probably under AMD General, since you're asking for advice for a setup. My but I may be wrong.)
