Oh, Also, the Mugen II does better on the UD5 as the UD5's RAM slots are moved over to the side of the board a bit.

And if you have regular high RAM (IE no large heatsinks, like the Mushkins or G.Skills) then you can put them in the first two slots.

I dunno, I'm looking at both the boards and they look exactly the same spacing-wise. The UD5P is a wider board but the space from the CPU socket to the RAM is close enough that there is no way it would clear both. I guess if you mounted the cooler with the thinner sides horizontal and ran your fans up and down you could clear all the ram slots on both boards. But that is not the way to get the best out of your Mugen 2 especially since the 690 doesn't have a top exhaust.

UD5P
UD4P

But it is true about low ram, it will fit under if it has no height over the standard stick.

Thanks for all the inputs.
I'll try to answer everybody in this post.

32-bit OS is because i flash Xbox 360 on a regular basis and 64-bit don't work that good to do so with but I'll prob go for a 64-bit if I lose that much performance.

Xigmatek and Mushkin seems kinda hard getting my hands on in Sweden if i dont import.
I'll been looking for ram at www.memoryc.com

Hm, about the new AMD cpu being released makes me wanna wait with the purchase maybe but I live in Sweden and I assume we will get 'em later than the 4th.. What's new with the 555, 740 and the 975(?) version?

Thanks for the heads up abbout the Mugen 2 and Ripjaws.

I've got my head on a AMD/ATI rig but for no particular reason so anyone may got any idea on a i5 rig or any cheaper alternatives? I dont fell like waiting but maybe I will until the new AMD comes.

You can always get a copy of XP and make a small partition to dual boot.

Yeah, I'll figure so.

Damn I would love those newegg prices, a good priced 720 BE here in Sweden goes for $150 vs newegg's $120 /cry

Question

I'll try get some answers in the same thread.

Alright, need some help here I've pretty much changed the whole build more or less and have some questions etc.

(RED means changed)

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE (C3)
Cooler: Thermalright IFX-14
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD4P
GPU: XFX HD5850 1GB
RAM: Need help here. How will these work http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...030&Tpk=998679 I see they are for Intel, but only Mushkins I can find for a good price in Sweden
PSU: The NRP-MC751 seems really nice
Case: Starting to lean for a Lian Li or CM 590
HDD: Samsung Spin Point F3 1TB 7200/32

If you read above I need help with the choice of RAM and maybe some inputs of a good psu, I would like to keep the price down as close to the Corsair TX650 as possible.

EDIT: +REP for the great answers also
