Default Energy Friendly HTPC

Help me figure out an HTPC build

Uses:
-Future Bluray playback (don't include BR player in this build)
-1080p playback support
-MediaPortal
-I'd like it to max out GRiD and I'll be a happy camper

Yes, I want it to game and I want it energy friendly. Gotta be quiet also.

I have put these few parts together:
http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=11102445

Feel free to critique.

Looks pretty good, I would highly recommend and after market cooler for the CPU. Antec makes good quiet cases with efficient power supplies. Since you want to game I would say this build works. If gaming isn't a big concern I would skip the GPU and go with a 785g mobo, the north bridge will play 1080p no problem.

Only other thing I would add is that with that GPU cooler going over the top like that, your PCI-Ex1 slot would be blocked. Might be a concern if you need a tuner card.

Replace the CPU with a Athlon II X2 235e (45w, 2.7GHz).

+1
45w = cooler, quieter and will still play everything without a hitch.

Noted above, I want to be able to play GRiD

GPU cooler faces the CPU, it shouldn't interfere with any other expansion cards. Tuner won't be considered until new cable card tuners are released.

Why that GPU over the one I have selected? will that max out GRiD?

I am considering keeping my current PSU, and 2x1TB Spinpoints (with an addition of another 1TB).

They came out only 1-2 weeks ago.... someone on eBay is selling OEMs cheap though: http://cgi.ebay.com/AMD-Athlon-II-X2...d=130338853155

If you use Bing Cashback at 8% and eBay Bucks, it's only $54 shipped.
(Search for "OCZ PSU" on Bing and you'll see the eBay cashback link.)

Get this PSU instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...w%20modxstream
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w for $28 shipped after MIR, discount code, Bing cashback, and free ship. It's quiet with a 135mm fan.
