@Fearless:

TBH your post was hard to read because you didn't separate your paragraphs, and you used a lot of colloquial expressions.

@OP:

If you haven't already dropped the 9500GT I strongly suggest you do so and get a 4770 at least, if not the 5770.

You'll have to excuse my dry sense of humor.

+1 on the 5770. Seems like it's getting to be the general consensus for mid high range GPU around here, and that many people usually aren't too far off.

Newegg had a Sapphire for $150 last week, I actually think I bought the last one.

Oh, I was actually directing that at FearlessLeader in response to his response regarding my critical comments of his incoherent Wall-O-Text.

Good decision on the 5770.

I think the agonizing over which widget to by, the $ or the $$$, is very common. I always say go with the $$$. Cut back somewhere else where you WON'T notice it. In my case, I can cut most of the eating out from my budget and in a week and a half I will have made up the difference for the more expensive widget. I won't miss the eating out, but a weak GPU is something I'm gonna think about everyday when I sit down at the desk.

Deal with not having a nice GPU until you GET a nice GPU, or deal with PB&J's for lunch for a week or two.

Here's your x4 and a 5770....
Combo

I'm still thinking that Phenom II is a bit steep though. How many 'months' until it drops to around $100? Gotta think about that.
