You can fry your card if you're careless, but I wouldn't label it as hard. For great practice, you could unlock your current cpu.

hmm well what im thinking of is getting a 7900GTX and spend an extra 200 for it and cutting down on 512 DDR ram, a regular Asus A8n-SLI, and a 450W Thermaltake PSU.

Original Plan:
AMD 3700+ - $250
Asus A8N Premium - $200
OCZ Preformance Dual Channel 1 Gig - $150
Ennermax Liberty 550W - $110
XFX 7900GT - $390

Total - $1100

New Plan:

AMD 3700+ - $250
Asus A8N Sli - $115
OCZ Premier 512(X2 256) Dual Channel Kit- $75
GeForce 7900GTX - $680
Enermax NoiseTaker P Series 485 Watt w Dual Fan PSU - $80

So for a $100 More i can get a GTX but i settle with the other things for the price cut..

If you don't get a 7900gt, then get a x1900xtx. It's slightly cheaper here in the U.S. and has better image quality. If you don't need the power of the x1900xtx or 7900gtx, the 7900gt is an outstanding value because of the OCing headroom left in it.

Get the 2 gigs of ram right away. 512 sucks and you'll be sick of it. Just soend the extra cash now and get the 2 gigs, and the 7900gt.

I would go with 1gb of ram if not 2. 512mb really isn't much anymore.
