Default I got 2.75 on my 3700sandy but
Well even though I actually sold this rig and it's gone wed. I still hated that I couldn't get past 2.5. well I had a 3200 in here before and ran my ram at 1:1 at 250fsb just fine but with the 3700 I can only run 250 fsb @100. Can't even run 133. So does this sandy just not like my ram??

well After i thought about my question I figured the answer...On my 3200 it ran fine @ 250fsb but the multi is x10 with the sandy ya got x11 so my 3200 was unstable at 2.7 and I guessed it to be the ram...so prolly same thing here. yes it can handle being oc to 250 but it can't handle the oc past 2.5....

I have the Clawhammer core of this (socket 754) and it is stock at 200x12. Its a very stable clocking if you ask me... but oddly enough i cant get mine much over 2600... so let me know what you find.

I heard that lowering hyper transport to 3x and using a lesser multi with higher fsb could do the trick, but i dunno....

Or it could fall under my theory that everything hates xp64.. but that doesnt seem likely... Maybe its just what 3700 craps out at... not a very popular model

Dont blame the sandy.
Value ram and a mobo without impressive bios and voltage options
probably limited the cpu.
Drop a sandy 3700 in a DFI and some real ram and watch her go..............................

You should try the multiplier at 12 and lowering the fsb a little.
