Try latencies of 3-4-4-10 for now.

And for giggles, lower your HTT (or LDT) multiplier from 4 down to 3.

With a CL of 2, you're really keeping your ram from allowing you to clock further.

loosening them up to what I've suggested should help you squeeze more out of it.

From what I have seen, the SATA ports 3-4 are not supposed to pose problems with overclocking on DFI's.

I think if you loosen your timings, and lower your HTT, and raise your chipset voltage 1 increment, you should be able to re-open the door to more FSB.

I currently have my HTT at 3. It wouldn't boot at 4. I will try that with the ram and see what happens. You don't think that 1.7 volts would be too much??

1.75 on the chipset already? I'd leave it there then.

to REALLY test the to FSB of your system, thereotically you'd lower your HTT down to 1 or 2. Loose timings like 3-4-4-10...and a low CPU multi.

I think the loosened timings should help out though. Lets see where it gets you.

Ok I tried the timings 3-4-4-10. I bumped my FSB from 240 to 250 and left my cpu multi at 10. Wouldn't boot windows. I then tried my a ratio on my ram to get it around 225 and left my fsb at 250. still wouldn't boot. then i lowered my multi on my cpu to 9 and it booted right up. I really think this cpu just can't take anymore than 2.4. I think I am going to get a 3400+ true mobile.

Could be that C0 stepping showing there.

I think that it maybe. I found a true mobile 3400+ with CG stepping for 248 dollars. It will be mine.

ewiz..nice.

Check to make sure it is IN FACT an AR (CG) stepping.

You may get an AMN3400BIXAR (which is CG) or AMN3400BIXAP (which is C0)

it says that it is an AMN3400BIX5AR. If i buy it, it had better be CG. Or that will be somebody's ***. lol
