Ok I have been trying since I got my new comp running last week to get it stable at 2.5 with no success. The most I can get is 2.4. Any suggestions on what to try. I know that my ram is stable as I have tested in memtest extensively. I have my cpu voltage at 1.7 with temps around 32 idle and 45 load. My CPU is a 3400+ clawhammer, non DTR, with C0 stepping.

post a cpu-z screenshot (www.cpuid.com) of the memory and its timings...
The default multiplier for a non dtr 3400 is 12...a tad high for overclocking. Is there a way you can set it to 10 or 11 in your bios? This will help facilitate pumping up your FSB. I'll wait for the screenshot before adding more suggestions.

What's your vdimm at? Those sticks can handle up to 3.1 volts so don't worry about over-jiucing 'em, power those suckaz up!
__________________Another big question, are you running SATA hard drives, if so what SATA ports are they attached too? This can be a real overclock killer, trust me, I know from personal experience. If you are running SATA drives, make certain that they are attached to your LOCKED ports (usually 3&4, some are 1&2). Refer to your manual as to which ports are locked. If all else fails drop your multi down one more to 9 and see if you can up ur FSB any more. I'm currently 290x9 for 2.61ghz's on a 3000+.
