Default how to overclock for a dummie

Hi i have a computer that my friend built me, i do not know a ton about putting them together and bios stuff. anyway....i was told that you can overclock the CPU. can someone email me at

i have an AMD Athlon XP and i looked up how fast it is, and it is a 1.66 GIG. i have an asus mother-board, but i am not sure which one i have. anyway please email me and let me know how to do it. i can try to give any information needed

i checked out the site, and it seems kinda foreign. is there a way to get step by step. like go into bios changes this setting to this...
something like that???

because all BIOS settings are different that guide tries to explain it universally. you are looking for something like advanced chipset settings and then start upping the FSB (front side bus). do you even know how to get into BIOS??

read the guide again but take it slowly.

The first thing you need to do is figure out whats in the box . Download this program and play with it. It will give you information we need to help you
