Default AS5+athlon 1700-pink goo=?????

20c degrees cooler cpu temp. This was my first time taking off my heat sink and doing something like this, but it all turned out ok. I was getting 59 degrees celsious idle with this pink goo stuff under my heat sink. I scraped that all off and replaced it with Artic Silver 5 like so many people recommended. Now i am running 39 degrees idol on my 1700+ xp. No i think i will do it with my good computer. Just wanted to share the success story. It feels good to have this skill under my belt now.

I don't know, it really was like bubble gum but much stickier, i used a screwdriver and paint thinner to get it off. And i ran my computer in the 60* range for like a week, i live on the edge.
