Default Is it worth trying?

Hello there, I know very little about starting out and was hoping you folks could evaluate my specs and see if I can do any overclocking worth doing. If so, where would I begin? Thanks.

AMD XP 3200 400Mhz Barton core processor
Thermaltake Volcano 12 cooler (auto control speed mode)
ASUS A7N8X-E Motherboard 400MHz FSB
2 GB Corsair DDR 400 in dual channel mode
ASUS v9999gt 256 vid card
Enermax 460 watt dual fan switching power supply
Extra large case fans and coolers

i cant bring my multiplier anything over 9, also do YOU HAVE to adjust the FSB? Maximum i can go to is 300 and your guide on the first page says 333.

And this is the system that is in your signiture? 9x150 Mhz = 1350 Mhz . Your stock speed is 13x166 Mhz = 2.16 GHz . So if what you're saying is true... you can't even get your computer to run at the rated speed. Something is wrong here. When you say you can't bring your mult over 9 and your FSB over 300, does it not boot when you try to do so, or do you not have the option in your BIOS to go that high?

333mhz is the DDR speed which means it's really 166mhz, but performs like 333mhz.

Question ... the theory doesnt quite seem to have sunk into my tiny little brain ...

say i have pc3200 which runs at 200mhz right ?

and my cpu is running at 200mhz FSB x13 Multi

If i overclocked the cpu FSB to 210mhz it would do nothing because the ram cant keep up ? So it would be better to up the Multi instead ?

Or have i completely missed the point ?

Sorry man im a total noob and trying to wrap my head around this ...
