Default This is what I want to do...

Hey peeps,

I want to clock my CPU from 2.4 to 3.0. Right, I've tried a couple of times, playing with the FSB, CPU Multiplier and the HT Multiplier, but no luck.
I dropped the CPU multi to 10x from 12x and put my FSB up to 300 from 200 and lastly I put the HT multi on 3x from 5x. My VCore is running at 1.49V. Am I right if I say that the HT Freq must be as close to 1000mHz as possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Did you drop your ram speed down to DDR2-533? lol your RAM would be running well over 850mhz with that huge a FSB jump

Okay, here's what happened...

I tried clocking 3GHz, with a multi of 10x, FSB of 300, and HT multi of 3x. Clocked the RAM down to 533. It boots, but as soon as the Windows logon screen appears, it kicks out a BSOD and restarts. So, I tried a multi of 11x, FSB of 270 and HT multi of 4x with RAM still on 533. Same story. What am I doing wrong here?

It was on 1.45, so I raised it to 1.49. Is that too low?

Ok, I tried with 1.5V and got to 2860MHz. Ran Orthos for about half an hour cuz I didn't have much time to play with. All went fine, no crashes etc. Temps were about 52C. Then when I switched my pc on this morning, Windows completely freaked out, reset my theme, removed icons and gave some registry error at logon...Why does this happen? I just can't get this right!
