Question AMD Athlon X2 4600+ (Manchester) Overclocking

Hello, everyone.

I am about to overclock my stock Amd Athlon X2 4600+ (manchester) and wanted to get some advise on the motherboard that I will be using to overclock the cpu along with the memory that is installed as well. Just take a look at my sig and let me know what you all think. How i shoudl go about doing so. I would like to see if I can get it to the 3Ghz mark if possible. I know the 4600's are adequate to around 2.7Ghz. Any food for some thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks
Cyntek

I just finished OC'ing my 4600+ (Windsor) and the best I could get was a 2.66 stable. If you are running stock cooling you really have to watch the temps. I had to put in a new HSF in order to keep mine cool.
Much will depend on your MB and what your BIOS will let you do. Go slow and you should be fine.

okay, well right now, my settings are FSB 220*5 w/ stock voltage and Hammer Fid @ x10 2000mhz giving it below the stock setting of 2.41Ghz to 2.20Ghz now. now, what i need to do is bump up the FSB some more or should i bump up the Hammer FID some more?
What you think?

well, here are some results after a few error an trials that i have gone through. I manage to up the cpu frequency to 220 and drop down the HT Frequency to x1 thus giving me 2.70Ghz atm, but when i ran Ortho's Small FFT if failed. I have reverted back the Hammer Fid to "Startup" for now, What should i do to keep it stable?. CoreTemp shows 42-41 idled.
