Nate, let us know how it goes. I would do 600 --> 800 --> 1500. That is very similiar to what I did on my SI-128.

I'll have to pick up some 800 then...
Which grits did you wet sand at? Using water is a pain IMO.

Nate, in my opinion wet sanding gave me the best results. I did 400 -> 600 -> 800 -> 1500. Same goes for my IHS on my Opteron 170 except I did not use water.

did you use the dish-soap approach?

Nate, no I only used a few drops of water on the sandpaper and went with that. I never actually tried the dish soap.

Nate, I just dropped a few drops of water in the middle of the paper. Pretty much where I was going to sand is where I put the water. It's all about trial by error when you get into it. The finishing product is always rewarding

now testing Orthos blend at priority 9 2.75GHz (1.425V though )
Temps are actually not much higher than at 2.7ghz 1.35V, so I'm not sure if maybe it has a messed up temperature sensor or not...
I have lapped again and I used MX-2 thermal paste this time.
