Try bumping the NB to 1.5 or 1.6v to see if it helps with stability.

I'm running 260x10 at 1.45v. My chip is pretty bad.

You can try going a little higher on the cpu voltage (1.55v-1.60v temporarily) to get it stable at 2.75ghz but if you need 1.5v to get to 2.6, I don't have much hope for you getting even 2.8 let alone 3.0ghz.

You won't get 3.0 ghz with that chip. I had one and 2.7 was the max and i've only ever seen one get to 2.9 on here...sorry mate it ain't gonna happen. fun to try tho
