You will never get the 6400BE to 4GHz. AM2 chips just do not run that high. Maybe if you had some liquid nitrogen cooling or something, and you did a volt mod on your motherboard you could pump in some serious voltage, like 1.7V+ to get that OC. Otherwise, do not waste your time. Also, klnospicy, I'd tell you to run Orthos on priority 10 for about 3-5 hours at least on 64-bit Vista before you call your 3.5-6GHz OC stable. I am about 99.99% sure you'll crash. I can verify my 5000BE in CPUZ at 3.4-5GHz, even run Orthos for a couple of minutes but when I up the priority to 10 and try to run it any longer than a few seconds boom!

hey there,
Why some programs as cpu-z or amd overdrive shows my core multiplier is x16 but I just can see it in bios as x15.5 max? Is there any way to set it as 16x in bios?
Thank you...

Sounds like a BIOS problem on your motherboard. Check if there are any updates available for it.

during a week i waited for my motherboard coming back from technical service and i have it now. i had some temp problems and wrong reporting in my old mobo but now everything is ok. currently i saw that my rams are not suitable for my mobo and for oc and they make the oc not stable. in a near future i will buy new rams and people says ballistix is ok. i mod a new case soon and it will be an air cooling case. i will see the border for amd 6400 with air cooling. if what i see with temp values i think it will not be difficult to use 3500mhz and 3800mhz daily using but i will force my cpu for 4000mhz. let me first see my system after this new case. as long as my rams are ok there will be no problem cause this motherboard is really good for high value OC.
see you soon
thank you
