Guys I just bought a q9450 its @ 3.44 stable. It was muche easier to OC then my 9850be. Im still going to keep the AMD for other stuff.

zigzag, I am not one to call someone out. I read most of these posts and was hopeful that we could figure out what the missing link is. You spit out a lot of information. Not once did I see any proof. No validations not benchmark scores. you claim to have gottan to 3.7, but yet you only want to run at 3.000. why not get some scores or even validate as high as a stable clock you can get. I would love to see the 9850 at 3.5 cpu core in 3dmark06. it would give me hope. I am not trying to be rude, I am just calling it like i see it.

yes i did but i am air though. I wasn't very stable and I wasn't doing it at the time to prove to anyone but myself .No I am not going to do this to my cpu again but i do have posts at speed i am at now.
__________________Say what ever you want. if I find out why I get odd heat spikes coming from my cpu over 3.0 I and can fix the problem I will post it here. Also I got the **** scared out me not like some I can't just go out an buy another cpu. Right now Love to go crank it to show but you have to settle for my 3d mark score for 3 ghz mark roughly where I am now.

I saw your cpu 3dmark06 score was 4461 at 3.015. I would love to know how you got it so high. at 2.982 I only scored a 3997 cpu score. I wonder if the 2 cards you have in sli allowed you to do this but i would love to know.

i think it has todo with my board. I am still using a am2 socket board and not a am2+.
