oh yha someone made a comment on my dog that avatar i put on . He is my true friend and rare but his breed is comming back just like AMD.

I didn't put down anyone or thing I was explaining so tonton if you go up with your speed 2.7 will give you better results then 2.8 but you goto get a little dirty and try some bus speeds i use AMD over drive to test settings I use 15 minute test intervals on stability tester and core temp .99 it is a good little program doesn't use much resources so you're test are more accurate and it will show by your clock. guru3d.com has it there some where. you may use longer test intervals if it is hard for you a frist . during test watch temps this tells you alot what you're cpu is doing .the less it jumps around the better stream line you have and the more stable it will be . i degree jumps are not bad 2 or more up bring bus up 1 more mhz if that don't work up voltage 1 - 2 steps use arrow key better then mouse. you will notice it by jummping more or less but you have to watch jumps can be distance apart the more distance the better. meaning behind this .when you cpu will miss a step it will try to keep up more work more heat. my temp when up high will jump 1 degree up or down every 30 secs for about 2 minutes and will stop jumping when given or taken it away not bad and does the same at idel if it don't jump that is a sweet spot take note of it. oh my temp idel 39c at 1.424 volts people would say I am lieing but that is what it is. and it will only go up 8-10 max on full load so 2.99 ghz at 206 bus and 1.424 is and good sweet spot so i will try to keep that voltage and work around it until there is no other way but rais it. My gold is to take this to 3.7 on air if I got to get a pure crossfire board i will only when I know for sure they half step i did have at 3.3 past all test but when played cod4 it glitched a bit show me i was getting high temps look in log it prove it .

When I was running on XP Pro I was able to clock mine over 3 ghz. Now that I'm running Vista 64 bit I can't get it to run any higher than 2.8 ghz. I have tried in Bios and with AOD...

just so you know 2.6 is where U start use bus speed to up your way to 2.7 or 2.8 dont go pass 2.8 and keep your last #s after the > . < odd . it might be lets say 2.79 or .77 or 71 you have to deal with the .01c lower then 2.8 loss until someone gets half steps in these boards. but will never see 2.8 it will be odd

ok not being ignorant but read my long posts you CPU has to do more work now 64 bit right or even if it is 32 still vista work CPU more. more work means more chances to Skipp a step 3.0<--- even it has to be odd it is 3 stepping not 2 like on intel use my settings to get to 3 ghz you may keep what u used befor for voltage on your 3g setting but now you got to go to 2.9 and use bus speed to get to 3 keep in mind odd # 's but not over and not on it . can you settle for 2.99 I guarantee is will give you better scores then 3.0 Voltage not sure what you had 1.392 was giving me griff so i up it .025 and crazy at it may seem my idel temp went down so i up it again now 1.424 and it went down 1 more degree i uped it again it went up 1c so i went back 1.424

All I'm changing is the multiplier to 14x with the HT at 200.
So your saying to set the multiplier at 13x then add to the HT to go higher and keep it at odd numbers?

oh forgot hah ha ha grade 2 math odd + odd= even <---bad
__________________odd + even = odd <----Good so don't use 1 3 7 9 and don't go above 10 for bus clock cpu clock what ever your board calls it to help the closes you will get is 206 because 209 put you way over and 208 is even207.5 if have it will put on the mark but i doubt that.
