I have gotten a 3 gz o/c but it was slower than my stock speeds. I read the guides, what i did was increase vcore to 1.37 and increase HTT link to 230 and i got 2.990 but like i said it was slower. Any ideas?

that doesn't make anysense, if you've clocked it from 2.6base to now 3ghz no matter how you look at it, in reality its faster. what do you mean by its slower? your game FPS? your game benchmarks?

mind listing your current bios config and maybe ur dram settings aswell? because i think i know where you're comin from; i've had that experience once when the system seems less responsive, IE you click on start menu it pops up after like a 2second delay, and it tends to do so everytime you come back from idling? like it needs to re-buffer itself..

i believe its under,, "DRAM settings" in the advanced config group. also you possess a very great board ^ ^ i'm a big fan of DFI lanparties. these boards they just take ur limits..to..no limits..so first thing id do is try to get comfortable with ur availible functions on the bios screen. ^ ^

lol good work effort for your attempts, but yes when oc'in also via bios, software oc'in is just the easy way out which in return will give a big headache when something gets outta the way.

I love DFI boards too, so should adjust Ram timings?

when u OC with programs u never really see what's happening behind the scene. in bios you can monitor every change you make a lot easier.
