I have my fsb set at 200 and I just raised my multi to 15 to get to 3.0ghz. I'm leaving ram stock right now. My HT is x5.

Been a while since overclocking an AMD has it?



It's been shown that dropping the HTT has almost no effect in performance as the s939/AM2's have extremely bloated HTT bandwidth for the amount of data going through them.

yes but when you raised your FSB or Refrence Clock then you are actually running your ram at an increased speed becasue on an am2 system you can not run your ram unlinked like you can on 775......try lowering your ram speed 1 notch lower your HTT to 4x and check all your setting in CPU-Z ....see if your ram is running near it's rated speed. Try to keep you Htt link around 1000mhz although you should be able too run an AM2 sytem out of spec.

memory bandwidth has pratically very lil to no performance penalties, as the memory controller is integerated into the cpu. CPU is king. so put it on a divider and youll have more headroom for ur oc. max volts id give to these 939/am2 chips are 1.55.

Have you upped the chip set voltages.
Beyond 3G both the Crossfire and TA770 A2+ needed a little help... mostly for the S.Bridge even though the RAM was running at almost stock DDR2 800 speeds.
What was I running, a 5000+ BE.
