CPU Voltage reading different in BIOS and CPU-Z
Hello all -
I've been working on my first serious overclocking, and have run into some concerns. From what I've read, we want to keep our CPU voltage down below 1.500 volts. I've been making an attempt to try and run the CPU at the lowest possible voltage in order to get my clock speeds up as high as possible without hitting the 55 degree mark.
As I have been trying to identify the maximum stable OC speed for my RAM, I noticed in CPU-Z that the Core Voltage on the CPU was at 1.520. This didn't seem right, as I had it set at 1.475 in the BIOS.
Can anyone explain this to me, or point me in a direction to understand how this happens, or is this something to be more concerned about, like a flaky BIOS, or MB?
Thanks!
