dont know how that cpu OCes but you should get 400Mhz or more

Which motherboard do you have, specifically? There are a few Asus A8V models (A8V-E, A8V-E SE, A8V-E Deluxe); of these, only the A8V-E Deluxe is the one which I would judge to be good for overclocking because it allows for PCI Bus locking. The others don't, unfortunately. (My dad's rig is based on the A8V-E SE, and it doesn't have a PCI Bus lock, which, if the HTT Clock scales past 225MHz or so, speeds up the PCI Bus and leads to wholesale OS damage. Therefore, be very careful about OCing with the VIA K8T890 chipset, especially on a board sans a PCI Bus lock.)
