Ive seen people who are looking for guidance on Phenom OC'ing being linked to guides on Athlon x2 OC'ing, which, unfortunately, isnt quite accurate for phenoms.

Me too. I would love to be able to help phenom owners out, considering we are in the minority, and it is rather hard to go trawling through the depths of the net to find decent OC guides.
I wanna have everything in one place. Cmon, everyone, post your links and what not that can help.

Man!!! is this chip (see my sig rig) stubborn or the mobo i don't know. tried almost everything but can't stabilize my system even at 2.5ghz
. I really miss my 9500 & GA MA-790x DS4 which i could run at 2.86 ghz stable. Guess i am gonna give this chip to my friend and get back the 9500 unless u guys could help me out. Please....EDit: It was my 9600BE. My ASUS board is fine pushing the 9850BE to 3.0Ghz without Any Voltage change.

i can run 2.5 stable on my 9600, but anything higher (got 2.8), although for the most part stable causes too high temps on the stock HSF for my comfort

Sweet, have you been keeping an eye on your CPU-NB speed?
There is a possibility that as you increase your Reference clock, your CPU-NB speed can cause some instability without a voltage increase or clocking down. Use the latest version of cpu-z to check, it will be in the memory tab under northbridge speed. Your stock CPU-NB speed will be 1.8Ghz. If you brought your ref clock up to the 220 mark, you may be nearing about 2Ghz on the NB. The M3A32 has the option to alter the voltages of the CPU-NB so shoot for about 1.25v. If you are using your multiplier to overclock, however, it could be a different story. Try some different voltage adjustments. Set your CPU VDDA at about 2.6v, your NB PCIE PLL at 1.9v, NB core at 1.12v, HT voltage at 1.4v, and shimmie the SB voltages up to about 1.22v. Obviously set your Vcore appropriately for your clock. If that lot fails, you may just have a bad OC'ing chip...
