Then you have a problem with your rig, something isn't set up right. My single 8800GT w/ an X2 @ 3.00 GHz on a 570 SLI chipset does the Crysis Benchmark on all high settings at 1280x1024 and averages 38 FPS. Gameplay at 1600x900 with all high settings, no AA, is smooth. Your SLI 8800GT's, 590 SLI chipset, and 3.25 GHz X2 should do MUCH better.

I wouldn't think there even is a bottleneck with that system... but if you say so!

If your gaming performance is up to par then there is no problem. I have no reason to believe an X2 at 3.2Ghz will be bottle necking games at 1680x1050 and if it is, the difference will not be large at all.

Just so you know - 3dmark06 - my quad at 3.6ghz ~17.5k, quad at 3.96 - 20k
Clocks make a big difference with multicard configs Be careful with the $130 thing at newegg - i would think that it's a stock clearout of their old B3 Q6600's - hotter, lower overcloks then the new G0's
