Thats cool!

The windsor chips are actually pretty good chips and if you really want one get one especially if you are wanting to keep your motherboard a while longer. You should be able to get the 6000+ from 3.2-3.6 depending on how good your aftermarket cooler is and yes get an aftermarket cooler for them they are kind of warm. I've had my 6400 stable for 2hours at 3.5 but I'm rock solid at 8 hours at 3.4. I don't think I have to do much more tweaking to hit the 3.5 stable. Plus 90nm tech can take more vcore than 65nm tech.

Well im going to use my Zalman 9500 w/the 92mm fan that came factory intslalled! Is that going to be good enough cooling? Also my 4400+ Brisbane 65nm needs alot of power to get 3.25 GHz stable a whopping 1.616v!
and my temps are at 60C after like 2hours Prime95 and its 12hours Prime95 stable but forgot to look at the temps! But it was staying at 60C for an hour so it didn't get much hotter then 60C i think!

The zalman should be fine for a while, but knowing you (and all of OCN) you'll be trying to get the max OC that you can, and I dont think that cooler will be able to keep up with it. So some new cooling might be in order to get the best performance possible. It sounds like you were pushing the limits of the 9500 even with your old chip... then new one will run even hotter (Its stock TDP is double what the old one was).

Hope that helps.

I'd upgrade to a Xigmatek HDT-S1283, Vendetta 2 or the like for best results.

Good luck

nah no need now just ordered my AMD 6000+ a few hours ago so this chip will go back into the PC i took it from and it will run at stock speeds due to the Dell Locked BIOS!

Ok i got my AMD 6000+ yesterday and its runing great! Right now its at 3.45GHz with stock voltages and stok cooling! Runs 4 hours Prime95 stable but its still runing so i will see how long it will be stable! Thats my First OC with the chip, and its got speed to spare! #DMark06 went from 10500 to 12455 so a 2k increase from a 4400+ to a 6000+!
