i don't know if it's my chip or my board that's holding back the clocks. once i got the 504 BIOS i was able to run 3.3GHz w/o it doing the weird freezing where the computer would freeze, but i could still use the mouse and the cursor would change when i moved it over stuff on the desktop but no response from anything else.

i'd love to get a slough of 9950's and try 'em all out, but i'm just gonna wait for the denebs that are coming shortly and hopefully i'm not disappointed.

Mines about dead even with that CPU score at 3.48... must be vista that's holding me back .

Btw, how stable is 3.6 for you? Or is it one of those "Stable enough to get into CPU-Z, but that's it" kind of OC's?

Got about 20 mins into OCCT testing and just failed. I was running Vista 32 NO SP1 installed... Formatted hard drive installed Vista 64, cant reach 3.6 with that..Thinking about going back to 32bit and trying it again....

Vista does seem to hold back OC's alittle.....on my 9850 Black I have hit 3.4ghz is stable in everything but Stress tests.....I havn't tried it on XP but i think you can OC Higher in XP.


Otherwise seems like for most 3.3ghz is the Majority average in Vista

how the hell are you guys clocking so high when i hit a wall @ 3.0 with my 9950
