Currently have my 125w 9950 at 3.08ghz and stable with just air cooling. I'm toying with the idea of getting a liquid cooling kit...dunno if I'm ready to cross over to the dark side yet though
I'm gonna actually try a systematic approach this time and see if I can get it higher.

I've only been able to get my 9950 up to 242mhz core clock with a 2x HT Link. Is this average? I read the "Official" Overclocking Guide and the values given as examples in there are 330mhz with a 3x HT Link.
Any thoughts?

That's a very irrational overclock, for one your HT is at 600ish which is very low. Since you have a be why not just up the multiplier to X15 and up the voltage some...

So guys I toasted my old board, and I need a good board to OC my 9850.

Should I get the Asus board with the sb750 and 790fx, the one with deluxe in the name, or should I get the DFI lanprty 790FXB SB 750?

What is the difference between 790FX and 790FXB?

The Asus M3A79-T Deluxe is very good. It puts the 790FX together with the SB750, so you get the new ACC feature which helps in stability with OC's over 3.0
