Testing 3.33 (238x14) at 1.51vcore right now. Only getting 48c load temps. Going to keep pushing till I see some bad temps like near or above 60c. How much voltage is too much even if I'm still getting decent load temps?

![]() I would think that as long as your temps don't get out of controll, they will exponentially rise with the amount electromagnetic erosion occuring to your chip. So I would just keep going till you reach 60

I was idling at 36C, at stock. I then overclocked to 3.0 idling at the same temp. i switched back to 2.6 for stability and now i idle at 43-45. that is wish stock heatsink. i am waiting for my new HSF to arrive so that i can actually play games. i am unable to launch any games since my chip simply overheats and reboots pc, which is insane. any idea why?

It should reboot to protect itself. Your CPU is trying to keep itself from frying up, which is a very good thing.

For some reason I can't get this damn thing stable at all after hitting 3.3. Running 3.36(14x240) and load temps are at 52c until BSOD. Pushing 1.575 vcore and 1.525 NB - CPU. I have the HT Multi at 8x and the speed at 1.6 running at 1920 on the HT LINK. DDR2 at 640 and 5-5-5-15-24 2T. Checking temps with Everest and Core temp.

It seems like 3.2 and 3.3 are the ceilings for alot of these CPU's with vCores at 1.5v that pretty high. If you're up there I wouldn't get too discouraged if you can't go much further than that. I'd say wait until the new 45nm come out before you start seeing some serious clocks. Does anyone know if the AM2+ versions are suppose to be be able to hit 4Ghz, or are those just the AM3 versions?
