So my phenom got here.. the older 9500 (TLB erratum)
Everything was perfectly fine untill I tried 3dmark06 where I noticed my graphics tests were alot slower than normal! I scored 1,000 points lower on my SM2.0 test ![]() And like 300 points lower on my sm3.0 test. Ugh.. Is it a power issue? Or just comming from my 4200+ at 2.75Ghz to a phenom at 2.25Ghz? Or is this the culprite- ![]() The spike at the end on the last couple cores is me exiting 3dmark if your wondering.. But is it not using my cpu correctly? Its using one full core and a half of another.. My cpu score is much higher than my 4200+.. So is it my cards problem or something? EDIT: Its not the graphics card directly.. It has to be the phenom or power..

It was a freebie.. Not to mention my cpu score with the 4200+ was 1800 and with this one it nears in on 3,000

Because its a quad core but it won't necessarily related to performance, look at the 3870's they would score higher then 8800 gt/gts then would struggle to keep up with a 9600gt. But I do ask, did you updated your drivers right before this happened? Only thing I can think of is reinstall 06 and drivers.

@ The OP: have you run stress tests such as Prime95 on your cpu to make sure everything's running without errors, it could be that you have a bad cpu? I don't know, I'm just trying to contribute more than mr derp here.

Would it be a good idea to put my 4200+ back in and make sure that my card is peforming better to rule out a possible problem with my 8800GT
Also.. I tried call of duty 4.. I used to play it with 16AA 16AF now with just 4xAA and no AF it runs at like 50fps compared to 80+ with 16aa and AF

Well changing you cpu would rule out the phenom as a problem or if the 8800gt as the problem. its the best way to go cause you will shoot two birds with one stone. Don't know why your asking this when its so simple to answer (no offense)
