So, I updated my bios today with Asus' latest and found a couple new options added for my phenom.

The one that I have no idea what it's for, and tried searching and got vague definitions. So maybe someone here would know.

What is the AMD CPU C1E Support option for?

and does it apply to my 9600 BE?

i know C1E on my quad is like throttling. it runs it at 1.6GHz when not in use.. so it slows down the chip to save energy

I don't think it is like throttling, I believe it is a power management feature of AMD CPU's

AMD CPUs with C1E support are currently excluded from high resolution
timers and NOHZ support. The reason is that C1E is a BIOS controlled
C3 power state which switches off TSC and the local APIC timer. The
ACPI C-State control manages the TSC/local APIC timer wreckage, but
this does not include the C1 based ("halt" instruction) C1E mode. The
BIOS/SMM controlled C1E state works on most systems even without
enabling ACPI C-State control.

and that means what?

it means it will put the system is a suspend mode, trust me I had it turned on without knowing what it was and the systemwent to sleep after like 5 minutes
