Smile MY 2500 -M- Overclock.

Hi.

Just thought i would post my overclock for my AMD 2500 -M-

AMD 2500 -M- @ stock 1862mhz
AMD 2500 -M- @ 2.42 Ghz = 11x 220 FSB with normal coolermaster cooling,
AMD 2500 -M- @ 1.648 v, it died on me with 1.584 v,
AMD 2500 -M- Temps, idle 42c, load 49c, thats with side panel off, reason for this as my side panel is damaged right now so cant put it on until i get my new case.

OH, im using the ASRock K7VT6 motherboard, (soon to be the Abit NF7 - S v2 board)

My first post!!!

Thanks, please others compare with similar system, would love too see

Welcome to the Forum, Asrock are cheap and they have a better harddisk speed, but the performance of overclock are soo poor. i own one NF7 2.0 and my normal barton 2500+ @ 2.4Ghz ultra stable with 1.725volt. I coundnt be happier. PS: 2.4GHZ AthlonXp = 4.0Ghz Pentium 4 on my Sisoftware Sandra 2004!!

1.648V for cpu at 2.4G's is quite impressive...

Have you Prime95'd it??

I think you'll like the NF7 more...you may even get a better OC

Yeah alot of people said i will like my NF7 board better, and im looking forwards too it coming. yeah i have prime95'd this cpu and its fine, temps are depending on the room temps, like now my temp on my cpu has gone from 42c idle too 45c idle, as i have switched my fan heaters on in the living room, i reckon i could get higher with this board with higher voltages, but then i think i may have a high temp problem.

Update::: Just prime95'd it again with the fan heater on in the living room, its pretty hot in here, and my temp went from 45c, idle upto 51-52c, kept flicking between the two.

OH, this is with the side panel off on the case too,,, its damaged so cant put it on you see...

I'm also using the NF7-S V2.0 board and its great for overclocking, its got large variety of settings to tinker with. I just got a new heatsink and fan, and a new case. Now I have reached an overclock of 2.6Ghz and my temps are 40C @ idle and 45.5C @ full load. I used Prime95 to test and it ran for over 2.5hrs with no errors.

Settings used - 217 X 12 @ 1.9Vcore, Vdimm 2.7, Chipset Voltage 1.6

I tried overclocking more but I couldn't get it to run stable in Prime95, I would get bluescreened and rebooted. This could be a board limitation? since I believe that the NF7-S V2.0 is only rated for 200FSB.

Dude I dont have that anymore and I have a no name PSU with 400W. 18A 12V rail thats at 11.4V under load. So 2600 was pretty good. I used to get to 2700, but my performance of my psu has been declining over the months. So I'm saving for a powerstream.

Give a screenie too.
