sorry if i would sound too much of a noob but here is lies my problem
__________________CPU: Phenom x4 9950 BE RAM: Kingston HyperX ddr2 1066Mhz/ ddr 8500 MOBO: K9a2 Platinum (version 1) = 790FX / SB600 i know the setup is kinda old already.. but i still dont know how to run my RAM into 1066 defaulty.. There was one time that i messed it up in the Bios to increase some setting.. and if i remember correctly that one multiplier was for everything.. i could only go as far as CPU@2.79 GHz and Ram at 900Mhz The mobo and cpu claims that it works w/ ddr2 1066.. or maybe im so much of a noob that got caught easily and were not able to read "footnotes" of the claims about the DDR2 1066.. and will only work with crazy (for noobs like me) tweaking in the BIOS or something.. Any suggestions? and i cant seem to fiddle much with the timings on the RAM in the bios.. thanks in adv! ![]()

Make sure your bios is up to date. Make sure the bios has the ram Voltage set to what it should be as well as the timings.

Make sure your voltage is set to 2.1v or even 2.20v
__________________Also make sure its 1066 or under depending on your OC , Also update mobo bios via BIOS ,, not through software.. gl
