Smile Phenom 9950 Temperature

Hello Everyone ! I have a question about my Phenom 9950's temperatures. First about, when i bought the cpu the starting temperature was 58c on stock settings with stock cooler. I do not know what it is on load, but on the amd website, it says that this cpu max temperature is 63c. I do not know why it is so high, people with same processor as me with stock cooling do not pass 50c on idle. Also, there is a little bug, in cpu-z, it says that my core voltage is 1.856v and it goes sometimes to 1.872. Now those voltages cannot be true ( I am not sure) because the max voltage for my processor is around 1.5 . But in amd overdrive my voltage is set to stock to 1.3 . I know that AMD cpus are hotter than intel's but is 58c on idle safe for my processor? Thank you very much!!!

I think default is 1.36 or so for 9950. Did you apply thermalpaste for heatsynk properly?

Yes I applied thermalpaste, its only in bios and in cpu-z that says my voltage is 1.8v I cannot make it lower, I only have the option to add millivolts.

Default is 1.36V. And mine runs around 38C on stock cooler idle. But it is folding 24/7 and never goes above 55, usually stays around the 50C mark.

EDIT: Have you gone into bios and checked what it sais in there yet?

Ok but the cpu voltage control is disabled in my bios, I only have the option to enable my voltage controls and put them higher. For example, for my cpu I have the option for +25mv, +50mv,+75mv ect, I don't have the option to lower it. Also, my cpu multiplier is not working, when i put it on higher or lower than stock, it says it applied but the cpu frequencry stays the same. So maybe my cpu is not good?

see what the Foxconn One utility tell you

if it has Vcore at 1.8 i would suggest returning the board and getting another one before it fries your cpu

Try a bios flash to the newest bios. If that doesn't work, RMA the board for sure.
