Default Mosfets/VRMs/Capacitors cooling FTW!

I just placed some cheapo ramsinks all over my mosfets, inductors, vrms, caps and whatever i could find near the cpu area and what do you know? I got an additional 100Mhz overclock stable at OCCT under extreme burn conditions.

nice and interesting, do any of those get voltage from a specific thing like the nb or sb and did you up those so you could get 100mhz more. Also what is your stable clock just out of curiosity.

Before: 940 clock to 3.3ghz at stock voltage on a biostar 790gx.

After: 940 clock to 3.4ghz all same settings + a clean interior

Biostar board was bare, really bare but long story short, if not for accidentally touching the vrm/mosfet area while cleaning my PC, i would not have gotten an additional 100mhz.

Yup, bought a whole bunch and even stack them on each other. One is not enough IMHO for the mosfets. Its cheap and they work....for me.

so you just buy a bunch of these (come in an 8pack) and stack em on top of the stock mosfet coolers? Or replace the mosfet coolers?

Do these have any practical application on capacitors? Do they get hot enough to warrant these? This is becoming very interesting....
