I'd still bet on it being a bios issue or something if all sensors are reporting that and your sure you have set your heatsink right
what exactly IS your ambient temp?

ok folks. i just confirmed it! the sensors are really messed up. the actual values that i have to look up is temp1 and it's only speedfan that can tell me.
i found out when i was stressing with prime 95 at 1.55 volts. i set my bios to give me a warning when my cpu reaches 60c. apparantly, my coretemps went as high as 68c, and after 10minutes, i soon heard my cmos speaker ringing when temp1 went 60c. then i turned it off and the temps dropped right down to 45c in just 2 seconds while the coretemp is still at 65c. i did tried another run and my cpu just restart when temp1 reached 62c. hope this helps for some folks out there.

and for the record, i'm very certain that my v8 is seated properly since i get a temp difference of 6-8c with the lowest fan speed and the highest fan speed

Yep, the same thing is happening with me.
As you can see, core is reporting 67C, which is impossible with the auto shut off. However, temp1 doesn't seem to be rising when running prime 95... odd. Then again, maybe it just doesn't get that hot at stock.

Stock heatsink (the one with copper pipes), which is why I figured the temps would rise, even at stock volts/multi.

i just did a stock run with my v8 and it never went above 42c with my v8 at 32c ambient temps and a not so good airflow in my case. and before, i was already panicking as my stock run reaches 56c when i was basing it on the coretemp, till now.

Do you guys know why if I turn on Advanced Clock Calibration, the temperature is reported at 0 degrees by every program? The bios gives me the temperature fine. I've 3 different bios's and no difference. And the reason that I just don't turn it off is cause without it, my max overclock is only 3.4 ghz and with it on I can hit 3.8 stable.
