nice!

I had a 3400 but on the 754 platform and it was a good chip for its time even though I never overclocked it.

unfortunately it is a fast aging chip and much worse than a Lima even overclocked to 2.5(Lima is 2.8)

I can hit 290 FSB, but anything past that causes screen anomalies...

why not try using the BIOS to overclock?

i dont have tht ability is there any program i can use besides nvidia ? i can only get 2.2 ghz and i can lower my voltage but thats all

OCing using software like clockgen is a bad way to do since you cant change your ram speed. That's probably why you're limited to 2.2 after that I guarantee your RAM is destabilizing.

Using the BIOS is pretty much the only way to OC. While clockgen and ntune might work, I have never had any luck with either of them.
