Default Instant Shutdown

Ok, so i've had my CPU overclocked to 3.1 for a while now at 1.45v, i never ran a stress test because i figured that's enough volts for that not so high overclock. I've never had crashes at all.

So i run Prime95 small fft's and get an instant shutdown no warning, no BSOD just shutdown and didnt turn back on. So i hit the power button went into bios and bumped the voltage to 1.5 (think that's the max for these chips). I have my fsb at 206 and multiplier is 15x. So i boot up into windows and run prime95 small fft's again and get the same thing. I'd think 1.5v would be wayyy more than i need for that OC.

I'm thinking it may be my RAM since i have all 4 dimm's full, and my voltage's on my ram will not change from 1.9 no matter what. I have the most updated bios out their for this board, but it is an old board. Maybe its a problem with the board that cant be fixed. I saw sli ready memory that have anything to do with this.

Other things i thought of were NB and SB volts. I do run SLI. But idk about anything else?

So please help

edit: Temps are 22C idle lol and load ive seen them hit 55C and no higher

Yea it could be many things, voltage is not always the answer.
Do you have all your memory timings and voltage set manually?

I've found when my comp just instantly shut down, my memory was unstable or failing. I would run memtest to see if you're memory is stable.

Check if anything's shorting your mobo out.

I was puzzled when this happened to me for a bit.
