Wow I didn't try this trick, but now I'm wondering if I should have spent the extra $25 and gotten a Phenom II 550 instead of an Athlon X2 250

Eh, not too fussed though since I could have ended up spending $$ for nothing.

make sure you folks take the same timings and speeds for mem etc
that plays a huge role in spi
