i just tested with the ram at 800mhz and loose settings and it was only about 3-10s slower so you might have indeed some cpu hungry proccesses running in the background to be about 20s slower with 4 cores.

we are testing 3.2ghz
that is soooo weird that your 4.0ghz was slower.....
it is prolly the 32 bit os. try running it on a x64 if you have one. at 3.2ghz

@HondaGuy: please make sure that the "time" at the bottom of the render is visible, and yes a stock bench would be nice to campare the results;D

Yay you too? I just updated to a 550 and to my suprise very very simple to get 4 cores stable . Very happy on the buy lmao.
