If i knew man i would be working for OCZ or Corsair ...lol all i know is that you want all the timings as low as possible and the mhz as high as possible stable...

But once you achieve your OC and what ever your ram is sitting at i would just adjust the timing to get stable...

The 4400+ is a terrible overclocker. I ran one for over a year. That was a socket 939 with a DFI Ultra-D mobo (arguably the best overclocking 939 board made). I got better speeds out of the 4200+ that it replaced. You are not going to see anything near 2.8GHz.

The best stable overclock I ever got was 2.65GHz on water cooling.

He has an AM2, which overclock much better. My first "real" rig was built around a S939 4400+--and I agree, they sucked big time at overclocking.

OP--your RAM seems to be getting a bit high in speed--depending on how much higher you push the bus speed, you might want to knock the RAM down to the next lower multiplier (no idea how that setting shows up in your BIOS though).

As far as RAM timings go, just use what are listed in CPU-Z unless you're shooting for very high RAM speeds--which is pretty unnecessary if you as me.

Looking good
You may have to work the chip sets voltage a bit if necessary to get more out of it.
BTW, on a 939, the 1/2 CPU multiplier can be a bit of a pain.
1. the 1/2 is not applied to the memory, only the CPU because the memory controller uses only whole integers .
2. Many use to claim it inhibits the OC (unconfirmed IMHO)

The Highest i could get mine was 2.87 @ 1.35 via 250x11.5 with ht at x4 and memory turned down abit, but thats only because my crappy mobo can go over 1.35 volts

Also i achieved a higher stable clock with 11.5 multi rather than 11
Hope this helps
