Ok so i recently got the x2 4400+ and i would like to clock it to no more than 2.8ghz and i'll be ok for now...
__________________i've got the next specs : CPU: x2 4400+ (brisbane) 2.3 ghz stock stepping 2 revision bh-g2 RAM: Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4 G (2 gigs 4-4-4-12) Motherboard Biostar TA780 M2+ HP HFS: Pentagram Freezone-90 ok im not very experienced oc'er but i've done it few times (on e2200) and watched my bigger brother doing it all the time so i decided to clock this chip a bit seems like the mb ram and cooling are fine...now first time when i tried to oc it i used the t ocing utility from biostar i just bumped the fsb to 220 or something like that it was fine for a few mins but then froze... next i went into the bios and started to look for cool n quiet so i disable it ( i thought thats tha issue ) but i couldnt find it then i googled it and found there was an option in the Power Options (in control panel btw im using windows xp x86 sp2) and i put the option some people said that it would disable cnq (home/office desk) and i applied that power scheme and went straight into bios and bumped the fsb from there and it booted all fine i clocked it to 2530 mhz and it was fine for a few mins in prime95 then i went with 3dmark06 and it passed it fine and then when i wanted to compare the previos results it froze again so thats my question ... what do i do next or i didnt even disable cnq or theres another issues... NOTE: i only upped the fsb so i think thats the problem the HT went to 1100 and the mem to 421mhz or something like that when at stock it was at 384mhz plz help me i will appreciate any help and another note sorry about my english not my primare lang..

If you can bump the voltages up a little bit that will help stabilize the OC...

Check your CPU voltage.
If there's the option, I'd set the RAM to below 400MHz. Also, I cannot confirm this from a personal experience, but many people have said that the AM2 CPU's do not handle half-multipliers well when overclocking (problems with the integrated memory controller)--so perhaps setting the multi to 11 and overclocking from there might be better. I'm almost convinced that you need more CPU voltage though--you might be able to OC on the stock 1.28v, but not necessarily.

If you are going to change the timings only change the ones listed in your CPU-z (SPD) and i wouldnt cahnge them untill you have your CPU OC'ed and stable then move on to the Memory...So for know just set them in this order in your CPU-Z read out
5,5,5,18,22 @ 2.1 volts. Edit: set it one step down for know if you are going to be OC'ing the Bus speeds.. just leave it at those timings thou ( Just for know anyways)

Is that stable like it is?
Edit: If so then just keep upping the clocks till its not stable then add a little more volts and keep going till you max out your temps and i would let them get any higher than 52*C thats just me they can go higher but thats my max and just keep in mind your ram divider as well...
