The 7750BE is faster at stock than a 5k. My friend's is stock and mine is OC'd to 3.1GHz and his computer is faster

The 7750BE is a K10 Phenom I with 2 locked cores. The 5000+ is K8

Yeah, but the cores cannot be unlocked similar to the PH2 chips. The 7750 can "theoretically" clock higher than the 8750, so this should help with gaming and just computing in general.

I think what I'll do is wait until a 7750 BE comes up second hand in the UK and grab that, I mean for the improvement I'd see I cant really justify 50 quid, as I'd only run it at 3 Ghz anyway.
anyone know a UKer who has an old 7750 BE they would sell?? :P
