How far into the boot process is it getting? Do you get any activity when you press the power button?

it wont post.. the fans are spinning and the lights are on. when i switch on my psu, my keyboard will light for half a second then turns off even when i turn on the power button. usually there's a boot display for my gpu before it boots the mobo but i don't get any display at all.

Did you check your power supply? I'm mentioning this because I just had to replace mine (next step - change it in my sig rig). If you have a multimeter, check all the voltage outputs:

-Pull the connector from your mobo

-Short the green wire to a black wire with a paperclip or something

-Measure the voltages between black and the various colors
--red +5v
--yellow +12v
--orange +3.3v
--purple +5v (will also be present with the green wire not shorted)
