Everything was fine till i removed my heatsink to change the fan and my northbridge to reposition it and replace the tim. And all of a sudden it didn't boot. I had it overclocked before doing so though.
i tried: clearing cmos a coupls of times swapping ram sticks and slots swapping igp and dedicated gpu single out my hardware, like starting with a cpu mobo and ram with no hdd and other peripherals i still haven't swapped my psu though but all the fins are spinning and leds are turning on. haven't tried other cpus as well but cpu base, northbridge and southbridge seems to be heating though. there were no cmos beep codes. i'm so pissed at myself and tired right now. i feel like wanting to die in my sleep since i can't accept the reality. please shed me some light

It souldn't make any difference unless you use the liquid metal or metal compound stuff.

if its cheap tim i think they are usually non-conductive. when i got my first graphics card i took the heat sink off to see whats underneath (I was only young
) and replaced all the thermal pads with tim and in the process i covered a lot of the card. it still worked though.

This may seem kind of weird, but disassemble the entire system and build it back up again, this issue has happened to me before on not only my machine but several other customer builds.

Check for any trace marks/damage or potential items that could cause shorting?

Theres a few reviews around the interweb and they all say its not electrically conductive.
Do you have anouther mobo in which to try all of your components in?, or have you already tried?. if you have and they all work it has to be you mobo but im stuck to think how
