hi all (sry for poor lang.)
__________________![]() finally i done this !!! allthings about this mobo is ... after March 2009 every mobos from any brand have a bug in their bios to disable unlocking luck ! but if u can find a bios before that date (i mean a bios from 2008) this bug wont be available !!! i found the true bios for this mobo from a chines website ! and uploaded to my space : http://djmd.fileave.com/ECS_A790GXMA...8_Unlocker.zip enjoy ! steps : 1- download the bios 2- flashing to bios ! 3- go to setup and set ACC option to Auto/All cores/Per Core (all of them worked for me) 4- set ur CPU voltage around 1.4 for first test ... (i mean if u wasn't stable @ default voltage go for 1.4) 5- before going to windows in normal mode .. go to safe mod first and uninstall all cpus u have ... then restart ur pc 6- now boot up your windows normally 7- TADA !!! now u should have a True QUAD Core ! 8- check stability and if u wasn't stable play with cpu voltages ! 9- done ... Say prayer to God for let u done this Note : ![]() -first time .. i flashed the ECS bios with BioStar T-Series Program ! (but some time later use AFUWIN and nothing was different) -This unlocking should work with any Phenom II X2/X3 !!! But only Phenom II .. (u know it better than me) -Do this job @ ur own RISK ! maybe u have True Dual/Triple Cores !!! -keep my copyright about this Trick ... many sites told me i cant do this with this mobo but when i found the true story of unlocking (bug of bios !) i told myself i can done this too .. My problem : (help me plz)now after unlocking .. i have bad ass () Problem with this board ! i unlocked this and i can restart many times and it will boot up correctly ... but its need just one full shutdown ! after this ... system wont boot up ! just running without any post ! and any error beep ! now what should i do ?!

I have a MSI 770-C45 w/BIOS v1.30 which is dated July 21,2009, unlocked x2-550 to quad at stock vcore, no problems cold/warm booting and stable. Seen a few ppl post with that boot problem, don't know what the solution is, best of luck!

Its not really a bug if its intended. All they did was update the microcode for ACC. Considering when you buy a Phenom II X3/X2 you pay for an X3/X2 and it was never intended to unlock them :P Just a lucky unexpected feature.
