Sorry to but in at the end guys, but all the single core Opterons, San Diegos etc are an E4 revision. So you definitely want to be looking for an E4.

E4 seems to be the very common stepping though, are you sure thats what we want to be looking for?

get the expert! and e4 are the most common, its all luck. e4's can be good or bad... just depends on what actual cab*e stepping you get

Yep, all the Opterons that are single core are E4.
Eg. CABNE 0528/0530 are E4, the CABGE's are E4 etc. Basically, any San Diego chip.
