A) Who done that? I thought ncsa had a CABYE and Collin had a CABNE? B) It's phase, even the shottiest of chips will do at least 3-3.2GHz at sub-zero temperatures. CABGE isn't the "worst" stepping, it's just the normal San Diego stepping, so it's nothing special.

He is in here somewhere with a 146 CABGE on phase and it's not ncsa's post, it's someone else.
Or else he is pulling our leg
I have to save those type of links

I really hope I dont get a cab2e or cabge. If i do, I will probably just sell it, unless it hits 3.0ghz, then maybe I will keep it. I want my first AMD to be a good one

The estamated speed reached on the CAB2E is 2800 and has been OCing better than the CABGE, depending on your luck, system and the time/method you may do even better

Socket 939 Opterons were never more then a temporary step-over to begin with, guys. AMD released them as a cheap option for uniprocessor workstations and servers until Socket F comes out alonside M2.
What's interesting (and disturbing) is the stopping of production of 3000+, 3200+, and 3500+ chips. You can already see 3000+ chips are no longer in stock anywhere.

Yea, I too find it very odd they are stopping the production of the 3000+, 3200+, and 3500+. That would be like Intel stopping the 630, 640, and 650 lineup. Very odd.

Well it would seem that the M2 is closer than we think.. I know some Memory manufacturers are very very busy in DDR2 testing..
