Default Noob and need to overclock my Athlon LE-1640

Have a Athlon LE-1640 and dual 120mm 4 heatpipe cooler on it, currently 72F idle.

Can anyone tell me how to overclock it?

Will I see significant improvement?

It depends on what overclocking options you have in your BIOS.
And explaining how to overclock in a single post is, well, impossible.

Read the overclocking stickies and search for posts by people that have your motherboard.

This may seem selfish, but I would like some 1 on 1 help. I'm not good with this kind of stuff unless I get direct help.

My motherboard is MSI K9N6PGM-V2 - can you find any thing on that for me?

Just a note: what possible difference would I be able to notice if any? If it's not noticeable, I won't even attempt it as it would be pointless.

If you can post a link to your owner's manual and it has BIOS info in it I'll try to help. But overclocking isn't just punching some settings into a BIOS, it's a long process of trial and error (mostly error!).

Generally you will notice better performance with an overclock, how much better depends on how much you can overclock. So the answer is that you don't know until you do it.

I can't find anything online right now.

I'll get my manual out tomorrow and check.

Is there any specific things I can look for in the BIOS when the computer starts up that will help?

found your manual. it's pretty lacking on details. when you go to the bios, Frequency and Voltage is ONLY for your ram, but it also has your spread spectrum features (disable them all)
from the looks of it, the overclocking features will be in the Advanced Chipset Features, or the Advanced Bios Features. I'm not sure though because they don't go in depth with them.
